Terms of Service

Welcome to InboxAssist! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the InboxAssist AI-powered email assistant service (the "Service"). By using InboxAssist, you agree to these Terms in full.
Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use InboxAssist.
1. About InboxAssist
InboxAssist is operated by Mohamed Hassan Ahmed, a sole trader based in Sweden. The Service provides an AI-powered email assistant that delivers summaries, drafts replies, and helps organize your inbox through your preferred chat platform (currently Telegram).

2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, connecting your email, or using any part of the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes are communicated to you through your chat platform (currently Telegram) or email address. Your continued use of the Service after such notification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use InboxAssist. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.
4. Account Registration and Security
4.1 Account Creation
To use InboxAssist, you must interact with the Service through a supported chat platform (currently Telegram).
4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your chat platform credentials and email account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4.3 One Account Per User
Each account is for individual use only. Account sharing is strictly prohibited. You may not allow any other person to use your account or access the Service through your credentials.
5. Free Trial
InboxAssist offers a 7-day free trial for new users. During the trial period:
- You have full access to the Service
- No payment information is required
- Usage is subject to the same limits as paid subscriptions
The free trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription. To continue using the Service after the trial ends, you must explicitly subscribe using the /subscribe command.
6. Subscription and Billing
6.1 Subscription Plans
InboxAssist is offered as a monthly subscription at $12.99 per month. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
6.2 Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You will be required to provide valid payment information when you subscribe using the /subscribe command.
6.3 Billing Cycle
Your subscription begins when you complete the subscription process and will automatically renew each month, unless cancelled.
6.4 Payment Failures
If your payment method fails or your account becomes past due, we may suspend or limit your access to the Service until payment is received. We are not responsible for any consequences resulting from suspended service due to payment failure.
6.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Price changes will be communicated to you through your chat platform or email. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
7.1 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time using the /manage_subscription command. Upon cancellation:
- You retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period
- Your subscription will not renew for the next billing period
- Your email data will remain in our system until you run the
/disconnectcommand
7.2 No Refunds
All subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial months of service, prepaid but unused periods, or any other circumstances. You have the opportunity to try the Service free for 7 days before committing to a paid subscription.
However, we care about our users. If you experience issues or have concerns, please contact us at [email protected] and we will work with you to address your situation on a case-by-case basis.
7.3 Account Deletion
The /disconnect command logs you out of your email account and deletes all email data from our system. To fully cancel your subscription and stop billing, you must use the /manage_subscription command. If you want to delete all your data (right to be forgotten) and account then contact us at [email protected].
8. Usage Limits and Fair Use
8.1 Monthly Limits
Your subscription includes up to 5,000 emails processed per month
8.2 Exceeding Limits
If you exceed these limits in a given month, the Service may be paused for the remainder of that month to ensure fair usage for all users. Your limits will reset at the beginning of your next billing cycle.
8.3 Abuse Prevention
Unnatural amounts of email traffic, whether inbound or outbound, may result in service limitations or account termination.
9. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use InboxAssist only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
9.1 Prohibited Activities
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
- Send spam, unsolicited emails, or bulk commercial emails
- Engage in any activity that could harm, disable, overburden, or impair the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or our systems
- Copy, modify, reproduce, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service or its underlying technology
- Use the Service to transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate others through the Service
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Use the Service in any way that violates third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal use
9.2 Email Content Restrictions
You are responsible for all content processed through the Service, including emails you send using AI-drafted responses. You agree not to use the Service to send or process:
- Illegal content or content that promotes illegal activities
- Content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, or hateful
- Content that infringes on intellectual property or privacy rights
- Phishing attempts, scams, or fraudulent communications
- Child sexual abuse material or content that exploits minors
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Service Ownership
InboxAssist, including its software, features, functionality, and all related intellectual property rights, is and will remain the exclusive property of Mohamed Hassan Ahmed. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.
10.2 Your Content
You retain all rights to your email content and data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to access, store, and process your email content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
10.3 AI-Generated Content
Any summaries, draft responses, or other content generated by our AI on your behalf is provided for your use. You may use, modify, or discard this content as you see fit. However, you are solely responsible for reviewing and approving any content before it is sent.
10.4 Copying Prohibited
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the InboxAssist Service or its underlying technology. This includes attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code.
11. Third-Party Services
InboxAssist integrates with third-party services including:
- Email providers (Microsoft/Outlook, with others planned)
- Chat platforms (Telegram, with others planned)
- AI services (OpenAI)
- Payment processing (Stripe)
Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices, policies, or actions of these third-party services.
12. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
12.1 Service Provided "AS-IS"
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content, information, or AI-generated responses
- Warranties that the Service will meet your requirements or expectations
12.2 AI Accuracy Disclaimer
InboxAssist uses artificial intelligence to generate email summaries and draft responses. While we strive to provide accurate and helpful results:
- AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate suggestions
- You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before using or sending it
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or quality of any AI-generated content
- We are not liable for any consequences resulting from your use of AI-generated content
12.3 Service Availability
We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or that it will be free from interruptions, delays, or errors. We are not responsible for:
- Service outages, downtime, or degraded performance
- Failures or unavailability of third-party services (email providers, chat platforms, AI services, etc.)
- Loss of access to emails or data due to technical issues
- Any damages or losses resulting from service interruptions
12.4 Data and Email Handling
While we implement security measures to protect your data:
- We are not responsible for any loss, corruption, or unauthorized access to your data
- We do not guarantee the security or confidentiality of data transmitted through the Service
- You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important emails and data
- We are not liable for any emails that are moved, organized, or processed according to your instructions through the Service
12.5 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL INBOXASSIST OR MOHAMED HASSAN AHMED BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Any loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, data, or goodwill
- Any damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service
- Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account or data
- Any damages resulting from errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in AI-generated content
- Any damages resulting from third-party services or integrations
IN ANY CASE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 30 DAYS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless InboxAssist and Mohamed Hassan Ahmed from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
- Content you send or process through the Service
- Your breach of any representations or warranties made in these Terms
14. Account Termination
14.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Cancelling your subscription via the
/manage_subscriptioncommand - Disconnecting your email account via the
/disconnectcommand
14.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, for any reason or no reason, at our sole discretion, including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
- Suspected fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Extended non-payment
- Excessive or abusive use of the Service
- Any other reason we deem appropriate
We may terminate accounts with or without prior notice. We are not required to provide a reason for termination.
14.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service immediately ceases
- You will no longer be charged (if you terminated via subscription cancellation)
- Your email data will be deleted when you run the
/disconnectcommand - Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including but not limited to: disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution
No refunds will be provided for any unused portion of your subscription upon termination, regardless of who initiated the termination.
15. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. This includes:
- Adding, removing, or modifying features
- Changing usage limits or pricing
- Discontinuing support for certain email providers or chat platforms
- Shutting down the Service entirely
We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
16. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
17. Communications
By using InboxAssist, you consent to receive communications from us through your connected chat platform (currently Telegram) and email. These communications may include:
- Service-related announcements
- Updates to these Terms or our Privacy Policy
- Responses to your inquiries
- Notifications about your account or subscription
- Marketing communications
You have the right to opt out from marketing communications.
18. General Provisions
18.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and InboxAssist regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
18.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision will be modified to the extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its intent.
18.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision. No waiver of any term will be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.
18.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms or our rights under these Terms at any time without restriction.
18.5 No Agency
Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between you and InboxAssist.
18.6 Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, network infrastructure failures, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials. We are not responsible for acts of God.
18.7 Headings
The headings and section titles in these Terms are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.
